EXCITING NEWS!!
THE RESULTS ARE IN!! Our 2010-2011 API score is 842, which is a 68 point gain. This year Isleton School was the highest performing school in our district.
We are so proud of our Tigers and all that they have achieved last year!
In October, Isleton School receive notification that our school is eligible to receive the California Distinguished School Award! Principal Wright, Mrs. Dolk, Ms. Tyner, Ms. Mayo, Mr. Sever, and Mrs. Spangler all dedicated their free time to decide what we would write in the application to the State of California. Principal Wright, Mrs. Dolk, Ms. Mayo and Ms. Tyner worked hard on writing the application. With all of their awesome effort, we turned in our application on November 29th. On January 31st Isleton School received a letter from the State of California informing us that our school has successfully completed the first round of review and was selected to receive a school visit from a committee state and county officials. As many of you already know from our front page article in the local newspaper, we had our CA Distinguished School validation visit on Tuesday, March 13th! The team of three amazing educators from Sacramento County Office of Education spent the day at Isleton School. They were more than delighted to be an honorary IsletonTiger for the day and had many wonderful compliments for our teacher, students and principal. They validated our Distinguished School eligibility. Congratulations to the whole Isleton School learning community!!
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION (for the 2012-13 school year)
If your child turns 5 years old on or before November 1, 2012, you may register him/her for the 2012-2013 school year. Isleton School will have registration packets available in our school office for those families who were unable to attend our Kindergarten Round-Up. Thank you to all families who attended our Kindergarten Round-Up. In collaboration with the First 5 Sacramento staff, the event was more successful than any previous year with 15 families in attendance. Fabulous job to all!!
